Click here to see more images from Maya Orli Cohen's exhibition: My Letter To The Health Insurance Company. Maya recreated and commented on some of her experiences dealing with her health insurance in the US, after surviving a life threatening illness. I particularly loved the American flag made out of discarded medicine packages. Although not showing in these images, I also had the pleasure of shooting with Maya the video piece that is part of the exhibition. The show is on view at Mama Calizo Voice Factory until the end of June as part of the 2009 National Queer Arts Festival.
