Tropical Island

I was going through all my pictures from recent trips and remembered these images taken in a surreal place outside Berlin, Germany. Remember the Truman Show? This is kind of like that.
An old unused hangar (until recently, one of the largest in the world) has been converted in an indoor tropical forest and lagoon with year-round controlled temperature. I took these photographs in January 2007. It was freezing outside, but you can see how warm it was in the "tropical island". I wonder what is its impact on global warming?
