Rita and Clint's Engagement Photo Session

Enjoy these images from last month's engagement photo session with Rita and Clint at Baker's Beach.
Rita and Clint found me online and purchased my "special" last December. I really enjoyed meeting new couples that way!

Rita was radiant and Clint open and ready for different things. They already had some ideas and we had a very relaxed shoot. Time went by really fast! We were also happy it didn't rain. The clouds gave us wonderful diffused natural light to work with.

Aren't we lucky to be in San Francisco? The Golden Gate Bridge is beautiful at sunset.

Lisa and John's Engagement Photos - Marin Headlands

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Lisa and John's engagement photo session.

The best part for me was collaborating with John, as he used to be a photojournalist and had some great ideas as to the kind of images he wanted for his engagement.

And Lisa and John had the best reason to want a view of the Golden Gate Bridge in the photos: John  proposed on it! So cool.

They just got married in  Palm Springs, where they are going to live. Congratulations and thank you for an amazing shoot!

Engagement Photos at Baker's Beach

Winter is the best time to take pictures...if you don't mind the cold! Luckily in San Francisco we can sometimes have warm afternoons even in January and February.

Seriously, though, winter is a magical season as the sun is at a lower angle in the sky. It makes for a softer, gentler light, perfect for portraits and engagement shoots. You can read more about the beauty of the winter sky on Jean's Garden Blog, which I happened to read today quite by chance and really enjoyed.

When photographing a couple who is engaged and planning their wedding, I like to capture the little moments, the love between them. I find that shooting at a park or quiet place where we can all get comfortable and relax is ideal.  We went to Baker's Beach in this case as Nia and Serdar wanted the Golden Gate Bridge in the background for some of the images.

We lingered until dusk. Below is the very last picture I took for the day. I love San Francisco!
